Tonya Lee Christal, DDS
Owner
General and Cosmetic Dentistry
Dr. Christal is born and raised in San Antonio. She received her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University, College Station, and moved back to complete her dental training at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She has completed over 500 hours of continuing dental education and is committed to staying in touch with the latest and greatest techniques and materials available for her patients. She has additional training in both implant dentistry and orthodontics. Outside of work she and her husband Jeff stay busy with their two boys who attend Geneva School of Boerne. Dr. Christal enjoys reading, writing, traveling , and has a fun and relatively useless talent for remembering all song lyrics.

Danielle Lee Powell, DDS
Owner
General and Cosmetic Dentistry
Dr. Powell was born and raised in San Antonio. She played NCAA tennis for Texas A&M University and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Biomedical Science. She then completed her dental training at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She has completed over 200 hours of CE in courses ranging from clear aligners to implants to snoring and sleep apnea. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, San Antonio District Dental Society, and the American Academy of Dental Group Practice.
Dr. Powell and her family are members and attend Currey Creek Church. She has been married for 12 years and has three boys, Luke, Logan, and Landon. Dr. Powell enjoys the beach, exercising, traveling, and of course, Starbucks.
“My favorite part of being a dentist is getting to know my patients and their families. I’m blessed to see many families from the grandkids to the grandparents. There are many people that are a little nervous about coming to the dentist. I have a great team and together we can make the most nervous patient feel comfortable going to the dentist and even start enjoying it! I enjoy all aspects of dentistry. One of my favorite procedures is Clear Correct orthodontic aligners because they help straighten teeth and give people confidence in their smile again. Jennifer Quintanilla, DDS
General and Cosmetic Dentistry
Dr. Jennifer Quintanilla was raised in the historically rich Brownsville, Texas. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology. Following her undergraduate degree, she completed her dental training at The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio Dental School. Dr. Quintanilla has received additional training in enteral conscious sedation and Invisalign and has a wealth of experience with implant dentistry ranging from single implant restorations to all-on-four implant retained dentures.
Outside of work Dr. Quintanilla has fun watching movies, playing tennis, and baking. She and her husband Sergio enjoy outdoor activities like riding their bikes up and down the Leon Creek and Mission trails, walking their fur baby Charlie and trying new local restaurants.
Dr. Quintanilla also enjoys giving back to the community by being involved in organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and the Texas Mission of Mercy Texas Dental Association Smiles Foundation. Dr. Quintanilla looks forward to meeting and providing your entire family with the latest and most advanced dental care to date.

Subha Pruthi, DDS
General and Cosmetic Dentistry
Dr. Subha Pruthi moved to San Antonio from Winnipeg, Canada in 2016. She completed her undergraduate training at the University of Winnipeg with a bachelor’s degree in biology. She went on to complete her dental training at the University of Manitoba Faculty of Dentistry with Honors. Following dental school, she pursued further training in oral sedation and nitrous oxide, as well as Invisalign. She has completed over 150 hours of continuing education and prides herself in learning new skills from experts in the field. Before joining Lee Dental, Dr. Pruthi worked in a family practice where she treated a multitude of patients and their families. She practices with the philosophy that every patient should be comfortable and confident in the care they receive.
When she is not chasing after her son and daughter, Dr. Pruthi practices yoga and meditation. She also enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, reading, and cooking different types of cuisine. As her husband Deepak will attest, she is a self-proclaimed expert when it comes to talking. Just try her, and you won’t be disappointed!

Sue Yun, DDS
General and Cosmetic Dentistry
Dr. Sue Yun received her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Texas in Austin. She then pursued her dental training at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Dr. Yun joined our team of San Antonio dentists at Lee Dental Centers in 1996. She has completed over 150 hours of continuing dental education, in order to stay informed of the fast-paced changes in dentistry that improve patient care.
Warrin Donowho, DDS
General and Cosmetic Dentistry
She was born and raised in San Antonio and holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology from St. Mary’s University. She completed her dental school training at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Upon graduating from dental school, Dr. Donowho completed the Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program at UT Dentistry San Antonio. This program allowed her to grow in her skills as a general dentist while also learning to place dental implants and becoming certified in moderate sedation techniques.
She is currently working towards earning her Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry by learning about the latest procedures and materials available for optimal patient care.
Outside of the office, Dr. Donowho enjoys traveling with friends, reading novels, listening to podcasts, and skiing at her family’s home in the mountains of Colorado. She and her husband Mitch have two rescue dogs, Hashbrown and Murray, who keep them active and entertained.

Jason Hunt, DDS

Dr. Jason Franklin Hunt has been practicing dentistry for over 20 years. Born and raised in Indiana, Dr. Hunt moved to Texas right after graduating from Indiana University School of Dentistry and has been practicing in the San Antonio area ever since. Dr. Hunt enjoys helping others achieve and maintain a healthy and confident smile, and he relishes getting to know each patient and their unique needs and desires. He possesses a broad general dental skill set and also appreciates collaborating with the many skilled specialists at all of our Lee Dental Centers when the need arises.
When not in the dental office, Dr Hunt most enjoys spending time with his two young children and beautiful wife Jessica, who is also a health care professional. He loves taking them on bike rides all around the city and exploring new places with them.

Dr. Kent Hamilton, DDS
Periodontist
Dr. Kent Hamilton has been practicing periodontics in San Antonio since 1984. A graduate of the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, he received his certificate in periodontics from the UTHSC at San Antonio.
Dr. Hamilton was an Air force Pilot who served a one-year residency in the U.S. Air Force, where he practiced general dentistry for the next six years. He has taught at the Texas A&M Department of Biochemistry and at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and San Antonio.
He is the father of two children. He is active in numerous professional associations and has published papers on a variety of topics, including grafting techniques and soft and hard tissue regeneration. He has been featured in publications such as Inside Magazine, San Antonio Magazine, Texas Monthly, and Texas Super Dentists.
Kelly Owen, DDS & MS
Board Certified Orthodontist
Born and raised in San Antonio, Dr. Owen is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. Dr. Owen attended Texas A&M University where she graduated summa cum laude with degrees in chemistry and biochemistry. She then completed both her dental training and her orthodontic residency at Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas. Dr. Owen is dedicated to creating beautiful smiles by staying up to date on the latest advances in orthodontics while providing compassionate patient-centered care. Before joining Lee Dental, Dr. Owen practiced orthodontics in Chicago for several years where she finally learned to love baseball as a Cubs fan.
Outside the office Dr. Owen enjoys spending time with her husband and son and their rescue dog Cooper. She also enjoys baking, reading, and finding the perfect breakfast taco.

Dr. Dave Tucker, DDS
Oral Surgery
Born and raised in Corpus Christi, TX, Dr. Tucker DDS is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and a contrubiuting author of multiple publications. After attending Texas A&M University, he accepted an Army Health Professions Scholarship and graduated Cum Laude from University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio Dental School. Dr. Tucker’s military career began in 2004 when he was commissioned as a Captain in the US Army. From 2009-2012, he served as Officer in Charge and Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Ford Benning, GA. From 2012-2015, he served as Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Research, US Army Institute of Surgical Research, and currently serves as staff surgeon and residency mentor for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residents in the Combined Military San Antonio Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program.
Dr. Tucker loves spending time with his 13 and 15-year-old daughters, both of whom are very active in volleyball. He also enjoys running, hunting, fishing, golf, and playing acoustic guitar. Make sure to follow us on Instagram to keep up with the latest trends.

Zhangrui Liang DDS, MS
Endodontics
Dr. Zhangrui (Zac) Liang obtained his Endodontics certificate from University of California Los Angeles, School of Dentistry (UCLA). During his years in dental school, Dr. Liang found great passion in bringing instant relief to patients in pain, while saving their natural teeth. After graduating with national honors in 2013 in China, Dr. Liang moved to California to pursue specialized clinical training in Endodontics, during which time he also completed a Master of Science degree in Oral Biology. His research project was to develop a pulp tissue grafting technique for regenerative endodontics —saving immature teeth of children by engineering dental pulp from stem cells of their own. Dr. Liang was also involved in a clinical trial using Nanodiamond coated root canal filling material to deliver anti-microbial agents directly into the canals, potentially increasing the treatment outcome of endodontic therapy. Because of his endeavor in endodontic research, Dr. Liang received the American Association of Endodontists (AAE) resident award, scoring among the top ten oral presentations at the AAE17 annual meeting.
Dr. Liang is an avid snowboarder, competitive swimmer and aspiring chef. Grateful for acquainting a fantastic group of people in the United States, Dr. Liang makes sure to connect and care for all his patients in a friendly and gentle way.

Dariela - “Dee”
Dental Hygienist
Dariela, lovingly referred to as “Dee,” was born and raised in the bicultural city of Eagle Pass, Texas. She attended the University of Texas at San Antonio and went on to receive her Dental Hygiene degree from Coastal Bend College. Dee brings many years of hygiene experience to the Lee Dental Center team. She is extremely involved in the dental hygiene community as a member of the San Antonio Dental Hygiene Association, Greater San Antonio Hispanic Dental Association and Christian Medical and Dental Association. Dee strives to provide the best quality care to all her patients and ensure they always feel 100% informed and comfortable during their visit.
In her spare time, Dee enjoys attending concerts, trying out new local restaurants, and spending quality time with her friends and family.
